I have devised a way to, instead of opening cd and then opening fa, just to open one program.
Step 1- Open notepad or anyother word processing program.
Step 2- Right click on your Cheating-Death icon on your desktop and click on properties.
Step 3- Copy the target into your notepad.
Example- "C:\Program Files\Cheating-Death\cdeath.exe"
Step 4- Right click on your FA icon on your desktop and click on the properties button.
Step 5- Copy the target into your notpad file. (on a new line.)
Example- E:\valve\steam\Steam.exe -applaunch 70 -game firearms
Step 6- Save the file as "____.bat"
Step 7- Created a shortcut to this, and place it on your desktop.
And your all set to go. (I would keep the regular FA icon around, so if you ever dont want to run cd...)

I noticed that if steam isn't running and you click on the "Firearms" icon, it'll start normal half-life instead of Firearms. At least, on my machines.
Maybe Locke used his psychedelic hippie transvestite powers to hex my poor computer :(

HLSW (a program of pure genius) automatically opens C-D if it detects the server runs it.

I played on TAC the other day and it didn't require CD, is CD still a big thing in the few FA servers left?

I pulled C-D off my server so I could get away wit- to stop those 0 kb files from showing up in my FA directory.
I can't believe C-D thought MultiRes is a hack... gg UA

wow. i mean none of us ever would have thought of writing a batch file all on our own!
this is pretty damn obvious

If you're using the All-Seeing Eye, you can still just change the target of the game in the options menu to the batch file.

Well you know some people probably don't know what a batch file is or why they'd want them
Others of us hobble them together with mircscripts to perform highly important tasks such as changing out our sprays

that wasnt a yell, that was a scathing sarcastic comment
and incidentally, i wrote a 100 line (or something like) batch file for reorigining models. so mine was equally pointless.

All I know is that those [No-CD] clanners sure gave me a beating when I played them, especially that Freshmeat guy.
