Ok so I made the mistake of letting my fucking idiot roommate on my computer without direct adult supervision. I accept responsibility for my fuckup.
Over the span of like, an hour, he managed to get SO much spyware, adware, and other shit on my computer, you'd think the big oaf was trying to.
I adawared it, to no effect. Popups still everywhere, adaware says its deleting it, but it's really not, and I dunno what the hell to do. Are there are new high speed low drag spyware killers out there that will work?

spybot + hijackthis + bazooka scanner.
bazooka is the end all of them but you gotta do shit manually so it takes ages.

There's some adware that puts a program folder and a registry key. If you don't delete both with in seconds of each other, either one will reinstall each other. Most antiadware programs for some reason won't delete both so it keeps coming back, requiring you do delete it manually. Google those programs as there should be others who've had it and were able to get rid of it.

Or there's an active component still running in the background that restores everything.

The Trendmicro housecall (http://housecall.trendmicro.com) has an anti-spyware addition now, and it found some stuff that other progs didn't for me. I am seriously gay for this housecall thing, it's really really up to date and extensive, and it's not annoying, bloated and intrusive like a lot of anti *ware progs/systems.
Punch your friend square in the jaw, too. Don't nobody fuck with a man's computatah like that.

Try running in Safe Mode, then running those programs. That worked for me when my comp was running super-slow for some reason.

safemode is a must for removing spyware, otherwise you're just running around in circles.
