View Full Version : JSC Playoffs-Update

Hey guys..

The first match, of the 2 playoff matches was between RMA and Spam. For those who followed the match on HLTV and Livebot, we can say it was a close match. RMA won the 2nd round by only 1 rein, and forced the match into three rounds.

However.. It seems like I can't make an update, without bad news. Again, it's Spam that causes the problem. Spam failed to turn in all their octinium videos and screenshots. Not a single one was mailed. This isn't the first time Spam does something like this. So we have decided to award RMA the victory, which also means a "Goodbye" to clan Spam.

I don't know if clan spam consists of pure stupidity, or if the READ-FIRST .txt in the octinium folder is in russian, but it amases me how a whole team is able to fail so bad. It could be poor leadership, or maybe they just don't care. If you don't have anything to hide, why not do as you are asked. To throw a semi-final away, in what is most likely the last European Firearms Cup, is really sad in my eyes. Other clans really tried to get this far, and followed the rules without any incidents. The fact that you took this whole thing so easily, and with no sense of responsibility, bring a question to my mind.. Why join the cup at all?

That being said, I'd like to grats RMA. They are the 3rd semi-finalist.

The last playoff match is between -[N.t.K]- and ghosts. It will be played wednesday, august 17th, 20 CET. HLTV ip and Livebot can be found in #fa.jolt. Map will be sd_durandal.

Looking forward to the last few matches.

Cheers lads.

hi, iīm the first spam-member who reads this and azmodan (our leader) is in holidays, so it seems up to me...
we have the files.
azmo was always responsible for sending you the files, we only uploaded them to his ftp. we changed our server and azmo is away, so this procedure was broken.
i will ask the other members if they contacted admins, but i guess not.
can we give you the files with delay?

well...i didnīt know the adresses if i had thought about it but this wouldnīt be a problem...
the problem is i just did not think about it because it was just the day after the match and i have some things to do in real life so i think i forgot it :(
we have holidays, some members steam-id problems or pc problems and the forum activity and so on are low; hence, we do not remind us each other.
/////////////////////////////////////////////////
i took a look in the rules and i cannot find the place where it is said that all players have to send these files automatically to the admins.
It is just said that we have to have them for disputes and requests.

All clans was required to turn in their octinium videos after each match. Clans were informed before week 1 started. It can't come as a suprice to you.

The mail is the same you used when you signed up. I have adminned one or two of your matches, and each time I gave you the e-mail.

To me, it sounds like your leader forgot to hand out tasks, or to set up an information thread, to you, the members. It only takes like 5 minutes, to zip the video and a few screenshots, and e-mail them. If you were unsure about anything, you should have contacted an admin.

But I'm glad to hear you atleast have the files. Lets us know you cared, and tried. I know your leader is on holidays, and you are trying to explain, but it is him that should explain the situation, and not you.

In which way do you gave us the e-mail? I asked in our IRC-Channel after the war (Herki was online), but nobody responded. I didin't really expect such an high level of bureaucracy. We thought, that the files are only there if a clan accuses the other of cheating, or do you really controll every octinum file (at least 12h)? If someone believes, we hacked, he just has to tell us who and he can have all files he want to. The match was OK, did anyone complain? Is it really neccessary to expell *SpAm* from JSC, because we just didn't send the files of a good match?
Just tell us where to send the files and we do so, but kicking us out without a warning or reminder seems to be a bit to drastic. An outstanding person could think, you don't like *SpAm*.

Sincerely
PeNdeJo, a member of pure stupidity

If you read PD:s post you would notice that:

a) This has happened before to you
b) You didn't send screenshots either?

It was made very clear in the JSC informative thread on old FA boards that octinium would be used in every match and after the match the video files would be emailed to admins along with 2 screenshots, as a red and as a blue player.

The case isn't about somebody hating you, in fact, SpAm succeeded to surprise me pleasantly on JSC and it's such a shame the rules weren't clear enough for you.

Also you could've asked about the email address in #fa.jolt which is the official cup channel, not on your own IRC channel. If Herki was on your IRC channel he must've been only idling.

thanks for the email, we will collect the files and send you. or is it already too late so that there is no use in sending them?

->screenshots
in the rma spam match for example both teams asked for a team-screenshot-time, but no answer arrived. another example for the fact that contacting an admin is not always that easy ;)

pendejo or me will take over the task of sending you the files the next match if there will be one :)

Cup has been running for 6 weeks.. I made a summary of the most important rules before the cup started. I wrote them again, in week 1 update, since alot had problems using octinium. You were asked by an admin to send your stuff to the same mail you used to sign-up, in matches after week 1. The mail had been in jolt topic. It could be found on the jolt page. You could have asked an admin you we would have given the mail to you for God knows how many times.

We check every octinium video from all players, in all matches. Have you read all the updates and information threads I made on the previous forum?

Even though we already made our decision, I would advise you to turn in all the files in either case.

"Spam failed to turn in all their octinium videos and screenshots. Not a single one was mailed. This isn't the first time Spam does something like this."
... yes wasnt the first time ... at the first time i send the files one day after the warday ... wow what a mistake ... cmon PD what a damned shit.
u could ask my members for the files or tell mike and he asked my members ... so u get the files 1 day after the warday ...
who decide the defaultwin for RMA only u or all jsc admins?!
its really sadly, that the jsc must end this way ...

Sorry about my language. It might have been too offencive. For that, I apologize.

After your match, Herki contacted the rest of us, and informed us that no files from either team had been mailed after the match ended. He then sat a 24 hour limit, the following day, in which the files must be send. I asumed he informed both clans about this. When the 24 hours passed, only RMA stuff was avaliable to be screened.

We then made a joint decision to award the victory to RMA, since the flaws from you were too big at that moment. I didn't decide anything on my own. Do I ever use "I" in my posts?

After I made this post, Spam 2Rock contacted me. He told me that you didn't know the mail, eventhough it was the same mail you used when you signed up. He also told me that you didn't know you had to send in your files after a match. Week 6 was over. We were getting rather tired of asking for the files, and we really thought clans would send them on their own, like most did. If you are in doubt, why not just simply ask us.

I did admin, but since you didn't use IRC at the timeī, we had to rely on Mike to feed on information to you. At that time, he wasnt an admin.

When I spoke to 2Rock, it sounded like an organizationproblem. It just cant be right, that none of the players know they have to turn it in, at this point in the cup.

Buttom line is, we had to take action. We didn't expect to recieve any files from you, at the time I made the post. The decision was voted by all the JSC admins.

..And yes, Im sorry it has to end this way too..

I said that azmodan has done all this before and now we - the members and not azmodan - did not know how to proceed. we could have asked you. azmodan was somewhere in holidays. and if a clan fails to automatically send you the files (an exception, we succeeded in sending you the files the wars before afaik), why donīt you admins ask one of the clan?
I understand the aspect with being rather tired, I would act the same. But if one fails after a good time I think it is exaggerated to be the hardliner and put on the dismiss.

Herki

It might sound harsh but that is not our job to ask for the stuffs. After the match we just sit and wait for the files to come to the mail.
What we ( jolt admins ) is trying to say is that Azmodan " forget " to tell u before he went on his vacation that u should send in your stuffs to the mail.

yeah u r right ... i thought my coleader know it cause i said "we must send the files to an admin" the last 6 weeks but i failed.
but i think its not a hard job to ask the clans if any files missed (my opinion).
and u r right too if u said "im tired of asking the clans" but i think its one of the task of beeing an admin.

so pls rethink ur decision ... i think we have earned to reach the next round cause my members win a very hard war without our best formation ...
i hope u will do ...

Right, we discussed the matter once more, and came to the same conclusion:

This happened at the end of week 6. Clans were instructed before week 1, after week 1, and contacted by admins about their videos and screenshot after each match, untill this point.

Play-offs started. All clans had played 3 matches. We do not see how it comes as a surprice, that videos will have to be send.

Clans were updated each week on the forums.

If you were unsure about something, you should have contacted us.

We did not feel like it was our job as admins to ask for the files at this point. The only reason we did it in the first few weeks, was to make sure you got it right. Clans should do it on their own. RMA did. Spam did not. RMA will remain the winners and continue to the semi's.

Eventhough I already apologized about my language in the lead post, privately to azmodan, I'd like to do so to all spam members. After the thread was made, Spam turned in their stuff a day later, in perfect order, and without any flaws.

I've requested the thread closed. If Spam or RMA has anything els to add in this matter, contact me on IRC.

Thanks
