I heard a rumor, that its going to $750 a month from $250. any truth to this?

$250 AUD = $188.156 USD as of this post... times 28... holy crap. That works out to $5268.20 US a month.

Yep, on top of your regular pay and it's tax free. There are scales for it, Iraq is the top level right now, but peacekeeping and the like earns you a little bit less.

um its by month, not day and uh i heard it was only going up by 100 bucks, but im still in the sandbox till october so im outta the loop... I was also told that we were suppose to get paid for the new amount for time in country that the bill wasnt activated for, lotta back pay there.

chicken is in the aussie army, his rules are diff. then ours.
What I care about, is that retroactive? for example, my feb 2003-2004 will get an extra 500 x12 retroactive pay?
