I was originally going to make a thread with just a new video I just saw, but I thought I would expand it to something much more. I would be happy to discuss the contents of these videos and pictures with you all. You are welcome to share your Russian military photos as well (yes I realise this is basically an invitation for Russian bashing).

Links:

EXCELLENT Chechen Conflict gallery (http://www.pbase.com/igor01/chechnya)

Another good Chechen War gallery, most of the pictures can be found in the first link though. All of it is on one page so it takes a while to load everything (http://filin.benutzer.ru/chechnya/)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Posts i've made concerning the Russian military elsewhere:

Me talking about adding Russian Soldiers versus Chechen Insurgency as soon as possible, and why they would be better to add than Canada (http://forums.insurgencymod.net/index.php?showtopic=5197&st=150)

Discussion on WaW that ended up being about the Russian / Soviet military (http://forums.worldatwarmod.com/showthread.php?t=633)

Another thread ending up being about the Russian / Soviet military, oops! (http://forums.worldatwarmod.com/showthread.php?t=953)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'll add more in a little bit. Feel free to make a positive contribution to this thread, or if you want any info on a specific picture of Russia / Chechnya. I'm not an expert, or even close, but it's an interest of mine so I could probably help you out :)

one must ask the question
what if one of the terrorists did the CS and popped around the corner to spray them all, you'd probably be able to catch a lot of Russian soldiers unawares

I suppose so, then again it looks like they aren't planning to stay in that spot for a long time. What gun does the "pointman" have? Kinda looks like a De Lisle carbine from WW2.

He has an AS Val (http://world.guns.ru/assault/as10-e.htm).

And there is at least one friendly sniper watching that doorway, nobody was going to rush out there and spray them.

No, this thread is actually NOT an invitation for russian bashing.
