Wow, that was a long ass article. Very shameful that the ATF has the audacity to try and prevent gun purchases with intimidation and exposing one's private matters publicly. I guess they thought it'd be better to prevent people from buying guns, then actually doing decent work and preventing/solving gun crime the real way.

Haven't there been murmurs in legislation about tightening the laws on gun shows?

Five hundred from the VSP for just one gun show? Clearly, somebody is out to get this individual gunshow promoter. I used to know every one of the local ATF, FBI, and DPS officers by at least sight, and never saw more than two of them at the same time at a gunshow.

Rumors, heck.....congresscritters and many bureaucrats have made careers out of exactly that.

Old news. Since when isn't the BATF a piece of crap agency?

There is a lot of stuff that goes on at gun shows you guys don't know about.

BATFE just busted a guy here in Phoenix not long ago that was acting as an unlicensed dealer, selling illegal machine guns, and counterfeitting money. He'd been doing this for a couple decades.

Gun shows will eventually become extinct for 2 reasons

1) The failure of show promoters to self regulate and ensure that their vendors are following all the appropriate laws.

2) Economic failure....you can find things cheaper online than you will at gun shows, unless you want to buy Beanie Babies and Beef Jerky.

I doubt that.....with an online transaction, I can't heft it for fit and poke a borelight up the chamber.

The only gun show I attend regularly is the monthly SAXET one here, and I swear the crowd gets thicker every year.
