I was just bored and search a web (cause when I am legel I wanna buy a firearm[not for defending but sporting and decoration])
and I found this when I saw P90 it said
(I copied the entire thing)

$1,649.99
Item #: 3818900093
3-4 Months
[Add to Cart]
Available to law enforcement and class 3 dealers only.
What the heck is the last line mean?!? and I still dont get class 3 dealers even though I look at the search for answer?
Im not sure if Im correct but does it mean this model of firarm can only be own by a law enforcement and a some class 3 dealers
and what is count as law enforcement?
[ ]Normal Officier?
[ ]Armed Police?
[ ]Detective?
[ ]Joint Task Force#2?(like SWAT in US)?
Also class 3 dealer only exist in US not Canada right?
but I just read this
Prohibited firearms include:
handguns with barrels less than or equal to 105 mm (approx. 4.1 inches) long;
handguns designed or adapted to discharge a 25 or 32 calibre cartridge;
firearms adapted from rifles or shotguns by sawing, cutting, or any other alteration, that when adapted in this way are less than 660 mm (approx. 25.74 inches) long or have a barrel less than 457 mm (approx. 17.82 inches) long;
automatic firearms, whether or not altered to fire in the manner of a semi-automatic firearm; and
firearms prohibited by regulations.

(FN P90 model has a select fire of auto and semi)
It be helpful if someone know how to own a automatic weapon(for sporting purpose) perhaps even better own a firearm in Canada

Prohibited weapons are too much hassle to own in Canada, unless you're a real enthusiast. To even get to shoot them, you have to book a time at a certified range, and do some stuff for transporting it also (can't remember off the top of my head). Acquiring it could also be very irritating.

There is a civilian version of the P90 being worked on, but as far as i know it is not yet available to the public just yet.
as for a select fire P90, in the US as it states you have to be either a class 3 license holder or law enforcement.
Law enforcement bascially means whatever law enforcement agency you happen to be workign for, you have to convince them, you need that weapons, then that dept, or agency has to send in the paperwork to purchase it, then they assign it for your usage.
Just because your working in law enforcement doesn't mean you can buy that stuff, it means you have to go through the dept to do it.
as for class 3 license, there's a list of what is necessary at the BATF's site i believe. Plan on a nice chunk of change, background checks, permanent storage onsite at your residence (ie secure safe) plus a $200 tax on each fully automatic firearm you buy in addition to the purchase price.
that should give you a basic idea of whats entailed, it's a pain in the butt, but if your really interested and have a fair amount of surplus cash, you can do it.

Canada prohibits 25 and 32 caliber? Lord knows those are well known the world round as lethal man-stoppers......
They must have a major fear of derringers up there.....

"handguns with barrels less than or equal to 105 mm (approx. 4.1 inches) long"
does that mean i can't get a walther P22 with only the 3.4inch barrel, that sucks :(

Hey, save a thought for Australia - Our laws prohibit people purchasing firearms with a barrel length under 120mm! In some states they even restrict the size of the round to nothing higher than .38!
Bye bye GLOCK (Full Sizers - can still buy Prac/Tac), bye bye SIG Sauer. The only relative 9x19mm pistol that you can buy in this case is the Beretta M92FS... and a few select others.

You can. Prohibited catagory are still things you can get, just more hoops to jump through.

You're getting "restricted" mixed up with "prohibited." Having a restricted firearm requires you to be a shooting range-member, and (from what I've heard) pass additional testing, but it's still possible to do. The prohibited firearms are impossible for average citizens to own, and I think that P90 would definately fall under the prohibited category.

You yourself cannot own the P90. It would belong to the department because it is, to my understanding, only the brass that can authorize ordering of firearms, such as the P90, for the department.

yeah, i mean, it might be issued to you, but when you get off duty and head home for the night, its going back to the gun cage
