I can't see a side ejection port, my guess is Ithaca 37.

It must be the angle or a prop gun or something cause here's another pic and it has one.

Trigger guard makes me think Remington 870.

I'm going to venture a guess and say it's an older-model Remington 870 "Wingmaster" that was pushed into service back then.

Likely a Remington, just so over abundantly high in numbers.

Bolt being round, triggerguard having a safety positioned behind the trigger, those are tell tale signs. If a clearer picture showed how the stock mated to the receiver that would help as well, a straight line is formed between the way the stock and receiver meet as opposed to how Winchester makes an angled > cut in the end of the stock mating with the receiver.

Agreeed - a Remmy 870. One of our new mainstream firearms as ADGs here.

Remington 870 -- Standard Issue CCS. Shit, we were using the exact same thing in that picture up until two years ago, when we got the new ones.

870 Marine Magnum model?

Marine magnum is coated in a brushed nickel finish, looks silver, like this:

The 'marine' part is the finish, and by marine, they mean corrosion resistant, as in, boat.

You don't fuckin say, Hadaken?

I may be a rockape, but I'm not that fuckin stupid...

EDIT: Wait, I see, let me clarify myself - That question:

870 Marine Magnum model?

That was directed at Meifunk as to what the U.S. Coast Guard have gone to now that they've hung the old Remmy 870 CCS up on the mantle piece. Sorry about the confusion.

Man, some of these newer "tactical" shotguns are so damn badass looking. I wish I could get one, but I have to find a use for it. Maybe I can convince myself to buy one on the basis that my 1897 can't handle Magnum rounds or slugs.

I want one of those Mossberg 590 Cruisers, with the pistol grip, extended magazine, heat shield, and bayo lug. I need one, but I haven't figured out for what yet.

Also, we have the Trijicon Reflex 3 aimpoint slapped on ours.

MF: looks, a lot more beefed/compact than ours.

We just use the Remmy 870 Synthetic 7-round 18" with rifle sights

Because it looks/is badass, what more reason do you need?

You're missing out if you can't break shit with slugs though

I know, man. My friend bought some slugs for his Mossberg 500. We don't know what the hell was so special about em, but the manager of the range came down to watch us because it had way more kick, noise, and flash than most slugs. That's when I realized I really need a gun that can handle slugs.

Really?

When did Trijicon and Aimpoint merge their companies....

They didn't. We both know what I meant, let's not get in an e-penis length contest.

One thing that kind of sucks about the weapon is that in the tang of the pistol grip, there isn't any rubberized material, it's all hard plastic, and it's somewhat abrasive. It's not too important, it's just a comfort issue. Playing around with them at the range all day means a very, very sore hand. Barrel is 14" IIRC.

On thing you can't see from the picture is the stock has a really crappy ammo storage thinger. I can't remember what the exact name is, other than it's prefaced with 'Tactical', which I think the meant 'Impractical' since when you try to use the thing, the second you pull a shell from it, all the other ones in there fall out.

Have had some feed issues on the range, as well, but I attribute that (mostly) to operator error.
