need some help setting up a server for FA

im trying to run a listen server for FA i need to know how do i create the message when the peeps join the server they see all the rules and the name of the server. ( for example when you join yis server the first thing you see is there name and the rules how do i add that kind of message to my serv?

hostname command is ...... hostname "Your name"

All the commands you can run in game...

also to set up also sv_cheats 1 what file would i change so when the listen serv iks started it will automatically have it set to 1.

well for motd it would be motd.txt

yea i tested the motd thing and that works but i need to know what file do i have to change or add to have host name, max players pre set so i wont have to do it in steam since steam wont let you do max players while the serv is on.

um can any body answer my question about what file ( config file or txt file) that has to be changed in order to set the max players and host name so my ser will have the values preloaded?

The file you're after is called "listenserver.cfg" should be in steamapps\email\half-life\firearms

ok so whats the command format to set the number of players in the file? mp_max players ? maxplayers or #max players?

well it didnt work and for some reason FA isnt reading my listenserver.cfg file because the host name always says half-life in stead of what i want it to say.

I think you need to go into more detail about exactly what it is you're doing.

im just trying to start a internet listen server with support for 20 players with all weapons enabled ( sv_ cheats 1) i wanted to do it this way so i wont have to do dedicated.
