Every movie in WMP is really dark?

And i dont know why? has nothing to do with my monitor setting, the videos themselves regardless of the source are incredibly dark. However embeded video's like crunchyroll etc seem to be normal. what gives?

Have you tried fucking around with the advanced options for video acceleration in WMP?

i had this issue, the only thing i could find to fix it was to go into the control panel and access the nvidia control panel (assuming you're running a nvidia card), then go to 'video and television' then finally 'adjust video settings' and i fucked around with stuff there until it worked. have a video open in wmp part way through so you can see the changes you make.
