Is it possible to create a firearm that can change barrels, computer programmed aiming, and can allow different kinds of ammo from small .22 to large grenade launching (change of barrel).
Possible, not practical.
My brother (older) had this idea and although possible, seems too farfetched.

yeah, Thompson Center I believe makes a gun that can fire almost any cartridge they've made a barrel for, from pistol rounds to rifles to shotguns to an in-line muzzle loader. It's a break-open single shot though

It's entirely possible, yes. It'd just be really expensive to make, and probably slow, heavy, unreliable... so on.

Computer aiming could be possible done with any gun; all that is necessary is a rig that aim the gun on all axes and a computer to determine the 3D movements. As for the actual weapon, it would require changing the bolt, barrel, and feeding system, I think.

That relies on what feeding/firing pin system is used - on a project like this it'd be stupid to use anything other than a system specifically designed for this purpose.

MetalStorm (http://www.metalstorm.com/) has some interesting ideas in this department.

That new XM-109 sniper rifle is doing that, somewhat. Well, not really changing the barrel, but you just swap upper receivers. Also, the scope is being developed to automatically adjust the reticle based on different variables to allow precision aiming.
The good ol' Greaser allowed different ammo by screwing on the barrel the other way. That way American troops could use both the .45 ACP and 9mm Luger.
