So, what are you guys gonna do with your 400 dollars?
As for the rest of Canada... Hey, what's shakin' ?

That's pretty much what I had in mind. Either save it and use to help myself get started after college or buy a paintball gun if im tempted enough. Anyway, i don't really agree with what were doing with the money but at least they aren't using the entire surplus to give away. A lot is going into public works as well.

I saw a letter from a citizen in Ontario in a regional paper a few days ago. She pissing and maoning about how Ralph was buying votes for the next election not realizing that he isn't even running next year. And for those of you think we should 'share'...Fuck off. Oil is provincial. I'm 100% certain that if Ontario or Quebec had oil resources like we do they'd tell everyone else to fuck off.

Damn you and your $400. Aren't there other things that can be done for the province instead of giving $400 to every man, woman, and child?

Like I said, I do think the money could be spent better elsewhere but it is nice to have things 'trickle down' once and a while.

I'm not sure if it's a prospect you guys would cherish, but the Norwegian government plans to have a healthy subsidy to it's budget from the rents of it's "oil fund".
I'm just hoping the stock market doesn't take a dive while it's out there growing.

It's kind of unfortunate that we don't charge nearly as much as you guys do in royalties/tax/whatever.

If everyone keeps gettin' 400 bucks, just wait for a lot of people moving to Alberta.
It also seems like Ralph Klein believes Albeta's wealth is from his good budgeting.

If I didn't already think that I'm living in the wrong goddamned province, I know now. Over here, despite the 1.03/litre gas prices we're complaining about getting more gas tax dollars for roadwork. So far all I've seen being done is complete resurfacing of roads that were fine anyways.

Come resurface our roads then.
Yeah New Brunswick! Any idea to make money are always shot down because our excessive population of elderly dumbasses either don't understand it or are afraid it'll inconvience them slightly. Then they complain that this province doesn't have enough funding...

Totally. As I was saying, I wish I didn't.

I think I'm already doing enough paying to resurface your roads, considering that I seem to get 5km/litre and more of my income goes to gasoline than to anywhere else.

5km/litre? That sounds like one shitty car.
