"Finally, we've decided that syndicated columnist Ann Coulter has worn out her welcome. Many readers find her shrill, bombastic and mean-spirited. And those are the words used by readers who identified themselves as conservatives."
...These changes are part of an overall effort to better serve our readers and improve our journalism. "

I think I've heard that line before.

I like the line she had about invading muslem countries, killing them, and converting them to christianity.
It's really appropriate...
for the year 1200, maybe.
If the extreme actions of the crusades couldn't eliminate islam, nothing could.
IMO, minds like that (regardless of religion) are why we have suicide bombers, extremist groups, and (at least to some degree) so much terrorism.
Sometimes I wonder how we ever left the dark ages!

Yay! They took away that crackwhore's pen and paper. :D
I don't like her very much. Anyway, im glad to see she is gone. I don't think she really has the authority to write half the lines she does.

Ann Coulter was very, very weird. The one book I read by her she spent half the time trying to convince the reader that Senator Joe Mcarthy (of anti-communism fame) was a really decent guy.

It makes me laugh how many morons take her articles at face value and don't actualy read what she has to say, only read the words on the page.

Okay then, please educate us fools as to what she really meant when she said that she wanted all Muslims converted or killed.

From the second link (http://mediamatters.org/items/200410050004) posted in the original post. This'll have to suffice for now.
I've looked a bit for the original column, but not much luck so far; the National Review, where the original column was posted, seems to have wiped all traces of her from its website since her departure.

ALAN COLMES (co-host of Hannity & Colmes): [R]ight after September 11, you said, and you know where I'm going with this, I'm often asked if I still think we should invade their countries, kill their leaders, convert them to Christianity. You say the same thing Nixon said in 1972: "Now more than ever."
COULTER: Now more than ever.
[...]
COULTER: By Friday of 9/11, we had accomplished point one and point two. Invade their countries, killed their leaders.
[...]
COLMES: Would you like to convert these people all to Christianity?
COULTER: The ones that we haven't killed, yes.
COLMES: So no one should be Muslim. They should all be Christian?
COULTER: That would be a good start, yes.
[...]
COLMES: But you're talking about a group of extremists who misuse Islam and aren't practicing true Islam. But would you like to convert all of these countries to Christianity. Should they all become Christian nations? Because that's what your ...
COULTER: Yes, that would be terrific.
COLMES: ... remarks suggest.
COULTER: That would be terrific, yes.

Wheres that video where she went on a rant about Canada? It had the bowtie guy as well from crossfire.
Why do people like that even exist? yes people are entitled to their opinion, but there needs to be a common sense border that cuts you off that right when you go way too far.

And it took only fifteen posts for somebody to point that out.....maybe there's hope for this bunch of mouth-breathers after all.

I think the point was that no one seemed to even read that. They saw the thread title and posted such pearls of wisdom as "FINALLY".

Have an adult explain the term non-sequitur to you slowly and in words with few syllables.
Seriously Goat, what end do you talk out of?
The end to which you'd listen if you had sense.

I think this is just a dumb thread overall. The link from media matters like a year old, and one newspaper has chosen not to print her anymore. Imho this thread should be locked and if someone wants to waste time chatting about her (I don't know who would) a new thread opened.

Even better, I have the internet. From Dictionary.com: (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=non%20sequitur)
1. An inference or conclusion that does not follow from the premises or evidence.
2. A statement that does not follow logically from what preceded it.
Like I've said before, this is your typical tactic: using a smoke screen of fine phrases to make it seem like the opposition's arguments are misdirected.
The end to which you'd listen if you had sense.
You're really establishing the high ground in the sandbox with your replies.

Don't need to.....she holds her own better than I could.

I never use them, I rely on memory.....and there should have been a period to end your sentence.
