I don't exactly know the situation in South Africa, someone can most likely explain this better, but isn't the SA government trying to get all the white farmers out and give the land to the black farmers or something, or was that another African country? Cuz I've heard a lot of stuff about how the Africans think that all whites are evil or something, and don't want to become dependent on them, or something like that.

The Belgians themselves cut off too many hands on people (veritable holocaust as it was an 'incentive' against not paying in a tax system clearly unrealistic) to be entirely blameless for modern backfiring in Zimbabwe, formerly Belgian Congo. The whites for the most part are the farm owners living on the farms, employing blacks. Then the central government is instigating unemployed to take over farms. In a perverse way this sometimes means also throwing out the black people who know how to farm.

South Africa is the formerly apartheid state that discovered how overthrowing a racist dictatorship was not enough to fight inequality. The slums are still black.

Erm, as far as I know only Congo, Rwanda and Burundi were Belgian colonies, Google tells me that Zimbabwe was a former British colony, so you're story is kinda off there.

Ermm.. Yes. You're absolutely right. Belgian Congo became Zaire, not Zimbabwe which was Rhodesia. Zaire is under the rule of Laurent Kabila, who saw the need to change the name to "democratic republic of Kongo".

Shows me for trying to be the wiseguy, eh? I'll read up on some of the geography and history there when I get time. Seems like I need it. Still, I'll stand for the rest of it. Mugabe is a nepotist dictator, Zimbabwe is the area in question and the white farmers are being chased off by people Mugabe is inept at finding proper jobs for.

This South African man is a relic who didn't quite understand that he is now rightly a target for investigations. No, change that. A monster from the past.
