I like any sort of techno/rock. All prodigy, Rage against the Machine, and Breaking Benjamin

Well, I've tried listening to music whilst playing FA and it doesn't work out too well cause I like to actually HEAR my music and for that I need to turn up my music volume. This leads to hampering my number one skill in FA.....listening to sounds. Footsteps, prone, merging mags, ladders. I pay attention to all of them so I know what's going on in the battlefield. Music just washes this out so I super-suck.

BUT!

I have found three bands or types of music that I will listen to on occasion that just....fit.

1). Mindless Self Indulgence. I don't like them but they fit so well with FA for me. I don't know why.
2). Hollenthon. Such a sweet band.
3). Classical music. It seems to clear my head and bring a sort of zen to my playign style.

I used to be a big fan of rap/hip-hop, but Lee (paradigm) introduced me to alot of great rock and metal bands, and now I listen to pretty much all rock and heavy metal. Some rock and roll too.

rock/rap but i listen to a variation of the two.. i dont like bands who do nothing but scream and think its music, and i dont like rappers who just say YEAAAAAA, WHAAATTTT, OKKKKKK, or, IM GONNA KILL YOU, BITCH <insert random killing/derogatory/swear word here> ETC. ETC. ETC.

listening to music is almost impossible for me lol.. whenever a song changes my fps go to 3-5 then like if theres a really loud guitar solo it starts to lag a bit. also you cant hear anything, so usually i dont listen to music while playing.. only on like iwojima where theres so much noise from guns you cant hear anything anyway :P

Yeah some of it just plain sucks. In fact most does. But there are some rare groups that have more of a rock 'n rock edge to it and it comes out very well in the transition.

Some of my favorit DKM songs are Do or Die, Skinhead on the MBTA, Barroom hero, Blackout, and pretty much the eitire The Warriors Code CD.
There's some punk/ska bands I like put calling them punk would piss people off.
But who cares, Catch 22 is really good (9mm and a three pice suit is a good one) and Operation Ivy is good as well. I just que all my music, which runs the gambit by genres and set shuffle and repeat on and have at the gaming.
Edit- NOFX kicks some totall ass as well.

i use to be able to listen to music while playing FA back on WON. but on steam, i have to close everything when i play, or else i lag.

so i just put on music on my brothers computer beside me, and play FA on my computer lol.

I saw them live a couple years ago and haven't gotten a chance to see them again since. Best live show I've seen hands down goes to the RX Bandits though.

Actually I can see Anberlin in a couple weeks. But since they're touring with huge girly pop punk bands the tickets are $30. :|
