We'll set aside wheather or not its a good game for another discussion (I remember SWAT saying it was a turd), but this made me take notice: (note all spelling mistakes are from the article not me)
Kuma Reality Games boss is 'surprised' to find hostility from Iranian people with their game, 'US attacks Iran'.
Next-Gen Sister site, EDGE-online is reporting that Kuma Reality games are in trouble again.
Press in Iran are appalled at the recent Kuma release "U.S. attacks Iran" in which a crack U.S. special forces team move through Iranian nuclear facilities, gunning down opponents. According to a Reuteus report, "The game's trailer plays pounding music and starkly asks: "Diplomacy has failed ... Is nothing to be done?." U.S. troops then strafe a car, leap out of helicopters and prowl around menacingly before blowing things up."
"Americans have a deep craving for an attack against Iran, but they are going to have to settle for this make-believe assault," wrote the Kayhan daily, whose editor is appointed directly by Iran's Supreme Leader.
On October 12th, www.persianpetition.com posted a notive asking Kuma to withdraw the game - it has received over 5000 signatures."We must make the Americans understand that Iran is different from Iraq and Afghanistan, where they just did what they wanted," the petition reads.
Kuma boss Keith Halper told Reuters, ""The controversy does surprise me. I just didn't expect that there were people from Iran who were going to become aware of it."
