"For serious political discussions"
I think this should be amended since the Firebox is also intended for discussions about philosophy, religion, and science. If the complete description would be too long, then maybe shorten it to "For serious discussions" and post a more detailed sticky-of-intent in the Firebox.

Then what would the advice section be for?

The advice section is totally different, that is for... well personal advice.
The Firebox is for all serious discussion about what Disco said.
Disco, That sounds like a reasonable change.

Presumptively the advice section is also "for serious discussions" so if we changed the firebox to say "for serious discussions" that would imply the advice section was not for serious discussions by way of exclusion.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking when I added the political part when I was changing things around.
The intent for Advice was a Firebox-Lite, with a more serious attitude than the rest of the otf but with a broader range of topics than the firebox.
You raise a good point, disco, but I don't think any of your solutions quite fit.

It is for more than just poltical discussion though...
Like:
Advice: "For serious personal advice"
Firebox: "For serious discussions"

IMO, advice should be 'for personal advice' and firebox should be 'for serious discussions'. You shouldn't have to add "serious" within that personal advice section.

what about putting "for debating issues" on the firebox and advice for the advice forum

Yeah, that's getting better.
Btw, you guys know it's not limited to three words, right? I'd rather not have it be a paragraph long or anything, but it can be more descriptive than we can get out of an adjective and a noun and nothing else.
