Is this supposed to be serious discussion? If so it should be in advice.
No I want the public's opinion on this topic as that's the only opinion I can trust. Indeed this thread may scare you. After being surrounded by a world of political bias, you tend to think everybody has an angle.
Good or bad, whether it's shit or a fad. I want this topic to go out there, and for us to discuss it in a civil manner.
So you sir, have no place here. This is Freedom, and your tyrannical and vehemently nit-picky will not do so in my thread.
Good day sir

Masochism seems like an oxymoron

If you and your partner are both into it, go with it. For instance my girl likes being spanked and I like spanking her. We both found out this fact sort of by accident and it's all good (I slapped her on the arse and she just happened to like it, she might well have gone the other way and flipped out). She now asks for it when we're getting it on and it's part of the normal thing. If you're into stuff like that and it doesn't happen randomly, just ask, or better, discuss it beforehand. Whatever you want to do, talk about trying it, then try it if you both are willing. If you don't like it after that, you don't have to do it again.

Smack that all on the floor, smack that give me some more, smack that, ooooowoooah.
and i think that everyone is a slight masochist, not in a physical way. But we all do things that we know will make us look stupid or that we dont like.

The girl I might be dating in a month or so, or at the very least getting it on with more often, is totally into the hair pulling, slight choking, spanking, etc. I find it totally hot, considering I've always been held down by prudish girls. I'm a bit of a freak I suppose, and this girl is a lot like me. Should be good times. I wouldn't go as far as whips and chains and ya know, serious shit. But light stuff I think is great.

There is a very fine line between pain and pleasure.

I've yet to come across any major blood flow.
Kind of disappointing, but I managed to cut open my stomach enough.
Usually I'll just cut myself slightly over my chest with a steak knife. Feels good and doesn't leave a mark :)

You're damaging your external intercostals when you do that, which is one of your more important accessory breathing muscles. :p
Moving on, masochism I would suppose to degrees exists outside of sex even, like the fact that people will hurt themselves snowboarding, or ride hurt, just because it makes it more fun, I know I do that. As for the sexual side, I'm a bit into spanking myself, and find it hot if I can totally control the sex, or if she controls it. I have limits, hot wax being one of them, and other such things, I don't like being tied or gagged either, but physically, most things are on the table.

Pfs, I don't harbour any suicidal thoughts. I mean, of course I've considered it..but fuck it. My family would miss me too much.
On a related note though, my pants are not stained with blood :(. I think I might've cut too deep.

Its kind of a question of reasoning, and how extreme you are about it...
self mutatlation is unhealthy, but only to the extreme. Slicing your wrists because your depressed is much different then looking for blood flow to get off...Slicing yourself to disfigure yurself for psychological reasons is very bad, but as you said you don't leave marks..
I think your fine, just be careful because it can escalate negetively.
