Just go to the Barrens and quest in more familiar territory.

Wait...
Blood Elves can be paladins?
That means the horde can have paladins.
I'm sorry, but that just doesn't sound right. It's like the alliance having shamans!

I still can't figure out why people were so pissy about it. There was no way to balance everything without making pallies and shammies exactly the same, which would make them redundant. If they give them to each side, then they can balance them to the type of class they're supposed to be.

Good choice. Mine is lvl49
Take a look at this too http://www.wow-pro.com/node/754
I did not care that they added Pallies to the Horde. my friend wanted me to play with him, but I like the paladin. So the change actually worked well for me.

Not really. A lot of ppl switched at the start to try it. But I have not seen the same amount as I did the first two weeks.
Though, I imagine it varies from server to server.

Well, hell, why not just have human horde members and orc alliance members while they're at it?
I think blizzard just killed any odds of me ever playing WoW.

If you hadn't played already by now, you probably weren't going to.
Wait for Warhammer Online.

Yea. I thought after SC and WC3 they did away with that.
And, even though they basically xeroxed the units in WC2, I still think the horde got a bum deal.
Play alliance VS horde PC: You have a death knight occassionally coming in, zapping 1 unit dead, then he flees (and most likely gets killed by a catapult)
Play Horde VS Alliance PC: Make an attack with any death knights/raised skeletons in your army, face an instant 10000000 of those "harm undead only" spells, obliterating all death knights and skeletons, nullifying the usefullness of them at all. If a paladin had the MP, he could cast them as fast as the PC could send the command to the paladins (and compared to a human with a mouse, that's fast!)
I'm glad they added in "cool down" time for spells in WC3, and added autocasting for lesser spells. Balanced stuff out, IMO, not that the races are 100% perfectly balanced...
