Okay so this is one of the very few threads I make that I beg for some seriousness, as I need some kind of serious advice. Without further ado...

So a little while ago I noticed a bump on my forehead. Now, I don't really think it's serious, but I'm hesitant to tell anyone else, even though I'm sure a couple people have noticed, it's easy to see if your looking at my forehead for some reason.

The culprit is rather odd, it's a small, painless bump about the size of a dime. It's odd because when I fuck around with it, it kind of moves a little bit, but not like, all over my face, but it has some mobility to it.

Now, I'm not the one to flip out about any little thing, but I have to admit, I'm starting to get a little worried. My little brother had cancer at a young age, and through his ordeal, I'm terrified of going through that. I mean, I don't know what the fuck this thing is.

I'm planning on gathering some courage and going to medical sometime next week, but does anyone have any information or links to information about this kind of thing?

Its possible its just a sist. I got a bump on the back of my head that is one, not dangerous unless it gets bigger.

I really want to mention FLCL here so I just did and I wouln't again.

Possibly a flesh pimple (atleast thats what I hear them called) I get them from time to time usually on my earlob. It usually just goes away after afew weeks. Though when I first started getting them I freaked out.

I'd say go to the docs just to be safe.

Cyst was what I was leaning toward as well, those can be removed right? Even from somewhere as high profile as your head?

Yes, they usually lance them I believe.

Sort of, but not in the traditional sense, yes. Seeing as the mass moves, and isn't seemingly solid, I doubt it would be cancerous. Also, a good majority of tumours are benign! AKA HARMLESS Don't get yourself worked up and into a stressed out tizzy. I agree with the cyst comments though. Totally go and see your doctor about it, and let the professionals figure it out. Until then, try not to worry about it.

dude, with all due respect, use some guts. :) i will be honest and say that i let a doctor inspect the package when i thought i had testicular cancer. you guys can mock me for it, but i'd rather be safe than sorry. Its not a matter of being embarassed or not, its about being safe and alive.

go get it checked out. doctors are there to help, not to laugh at you.

I think the cist is the best bet, but I mean, don't wait and find out if its fatal or not, get it checked. You've got a kid don't you? You're looking after more than your own well being in doing so.

What Blind's said. Definately get it checked out, but at the same time, try not to get worked up about it-it will probably be nothing.

You got yours checked? I had have them use that thing they use on womens' stomachs when they're pregnant. It was cool; I could see my testicles.

Back on topic, goto the doctor.

Yeah, it was pretty fucking invasive. Especially when he gave me a prostate exam with both hands on my shoulders :gun:

i think he was talking to the fact that i had my package checked over. :o

The doc grabbed my nutsack and checked for lumps, decided it was all good and the lump i was worried about was nothing, and sent me off. i was both unhappy yet stoked at the same time.

(unhappy that another dude felt my nutsack and stoked that i didnt have anything.)
