I was wondering if anyone here is a photographer that uses 35mm cameras? I need to know what some good film is to buy. Right now I get mostly shitty film from Walgreens for cheap. That's fine since it's pretty cheap but if I ever wanted to get better film I'd probably need to look somewhere else, I just need to know what film first.

Black and White or color?
I roll my own black and white but for color I use plain 'ol Fuji most of the time.

Aye, colour won't change a whole lot brand do brand, b/w you'll find more variances in. Personally, I love 35mm though neko, good choice. :) Darkrooms allow for so much great creativity.

Depends what you are shooting for day to day use i just load Kodak Gold, eithe 200 or 400 dependiing on the situation. For landscapes or other stationary photogprahy i use Fuji Velvia 100 but if you can get hold of Velvia 50 thne it has brilliant colour saturation.

I do some 35mm photography, not a lot, but I use Kodak for everything.

I'm just doing casual photography, nothing serious (yet), but I'd like to have some film that shows vibrant colors in general.
This is for colored photos, not b&w.

Fuji Velvia is accepted as the best for colour saturation, but its not a fast film.

Yeah I figured that. From what I have seen it appears that Fuji is basically the best choice for normal, good film.

Well Kodak Gold 400 will be absolutely fine in low light or action situation sucj as skating etc.
On a side note Ilford are starting production of B+W fils again.
