Whenever I try to run this app (http://skins.hiveworldterra.co.uk/Downloads/detail_31.html), I get errors. Runtime error 429 "cant create object" specifically. I downloaded the newer visual basic runtimes as the readme suggests, but to no avail.
Ideas?

Hmm, this looks quite tricky. Can't help you much because I don't have this game, but maybe it's an issue with whatever version of Warhammer you're running, maybe you need to update Windows, or maybe it's something else entirely.

Let me clarify- This is an app that decompiles the skin files for the games. Whenever I try to run it, I get that crash. As for windows, all is up to date.

I get that same damn message when I try to run Aluria's spyware scanner.

Dunno, maybe you could try deleting all your ActiveX controls and restarting it from scratch? Or maybe you could try updating all of them by going into Tools>Manage Add-ons.

Runtime error 429 "cant create object" means that you have all the components (files) needed to run the app but they are the wrong version. You will need to find out what files it uses and make sure they are compatible with the ActiveX control.

God I hate Window's error codes.
429 is a Visual Basic runtime error, doesn't make it any better though.
