The file is pretty big (1.4g) and you have to download a big patch, but the graphics are really nice and the gameplay is fun.

If you end up making a character go on the Lydian server, it has the least amount of lag.

Hum got to lvl20 as a gaia fighter spec'ing in bows. I can't figure out how to become a hunter to use the lvl20 armor which is alittle disheartening since I like having snazy new armor specially since my current armor is so bland (white robish thingy).

It plays alot like L2. They have a better interface and it really looks like something the devs put some thought into. The xp/grinding is alot better than L2 they have the WoW style regen while your doing shit going on but sitting makes it regen even faster so downtime is rather limited/nonexistant. The XP is also better than L2 by a decent amount. Getting your first real class up in L2 took about a week or so of play, I was able to about parallel to that in just tonight.

Theres alot of shit I just don't understand at all, mainly combining. Since I don't understand combining I also don't understand enchanting since you need to combine things to get the parts to enchant with, though this doesn't really seem like much of an issue since it seems like something more for "high end" sort of things and not something you want to do on your pimp ass lvl20 bow of doom.

did you do every quest on the trainie island? thats where you get your first class transfer at lv 10. And each class has their own set of armor, just check a different town, should be able to find lv 20 armor for your class.

Yeah I did all the trainee stuff and transfer'd from "basic" to fighter. I even found the lvl20 armor and bought it but I can't equip it saying I don't meet some sort of prereq. The only thing I can come up with is that I need to do a lvl20 job transfer to hunter (since its called gaia hunters armor) or I need to get Jlvl up alot until I get some ability to let me wear pimp armor.

I can wear other other lvl20 armors no problem and have boots, gloves, belt, hat, etc all at lvl20. I can use my lvl20 longbow no problem, so I assume its either I need to level up or class up to a certian point that I'm just not seeing.
