View Full Version : Should I be worried?

All my life I've had this little bump on the left-back of my neck. Whenever I look down, I can feel it protruding. However, earlier today I felt it without doing anything and now as I touch it, it's almost like a ball and quite solid. I was always convinced it's a lymph node and nothing to worry about. I concluded that now its swelling because I just got a hurricane of a cold out of fucking NOWHERE. I know that the lymph system is associated with flushing fluids out of your body and now mucus is coming down a mile a minute. But just a second ago it began to cause very little, but noticeable pain.

I just had a whole lemon to fend off any impending doom. Is this something I should go to the hospital for? And asap?

Thanks!

No, if you've just got a head cold you should be fine. I've never heard of swollen lymph nodes that bad and being nothing, but it could be something else. Call the doctor and make an appointment for monday.

always good to get checked out, but no reason to rush to the ER or something.

Shit, you know those two things on the sides of your necks (BELOW the lymph nodes)? My left one suddenly got a lot bigger, but so is its lymph node. Hopefully it's nothing but ima get it checked out. Sweet thread jacking.

Get it checked out, worrying about something like that sucks.

Cyst?

I think so too...

Go get it checked, by people who do this kind of thing for a living.

Its probably nothing, and they wont even do anything about it, unless its causing you physical discomfort or starts to look like a head.
