Always hits "Error 1603". No explanation of what it is, or how to fix it.
Any suggestions?

Could be corrupt install, something outdated, or something else entirely. You can try downloading another install, I think QuickTime for Windows comes with it.

Nothing to do with the download. I've had this problem since version 4.7.

Okay. Hate to revive it, but it didn't work as good as I wanted. Seconds after I installed, a new update came.
The trick didn't work.
Instead, it got to installing QuickTime and just went round and round, not actually installing it, with no error message other than "1628: Failed to install." after I end processed it (which isn't suprising.)
Grah. Why does Apple software have to be so difficult?! I love you Apple, but you don't make it easy for me!
