Music Sub-Forum

Of all the sub-forums, I'm surprised that no one made one for music. Personally I think that we need one, if only to keep the elitism contained. Ever week there's another music thread, and every one either ends with flamewar large enough to be seen from space or... no they all end with flamewars.

Just put them all in there, and let them rant for as long as they like.

I'm not sure if anything actually reads this forum, so if no one replies in a bit, I'll remake in the main otf.

So what exactly is this forum going to accomplish? You're not being clear on what this forum is going to provide, other than a specific forum for music and movie threads.

Ah! an entertainment forum, this does sound like a good idea.

This way, those of us who don't want to read spoiler (and/or) be tempted by spoilers don't have to see the threads on the front page.

Threads (especially movie threads) could act as ranking systems in that if you liked it alot 5 stars, a little 4, mediocre 3, 2, 1 etc. Sure we could do this now, but if it had a subforum then we might actually remember...

I can't really see much benefit other than more isolation from the OTF. And what flamewars? I've probably just missed them, but i haven't really noticed much of a problem with them.

Isolation never seemed to be thought of as a bad thing before. :p

Every thread, unless interrupted by a mod, always ends with 3 or 4 people going back and forth at each other about "their shitty tastes in music" usually to the point where the original idea of the thread is lost.

Also, I don't mind moving movie threads over for what Chunky stated. If you put them in a special forum, then you wouldn't have to worry about banning people for ruining movies, since you could put a disclaimer stating that you view this forum at your own risk. Kills two birds with one stone.

Also, you've already made forums for the other 4 major thread producers(politics, guns, games, and advice), so why not do the last? If anything, it would make it easier to view.

Random shit will still be in the main forum, if only because they can't be classified.

I really don't see that kind of thing happening with these forums, at this time. Something like this will probably be implemented at otfnation.com once we get a lot of things up and running there.

But for the time being, I wouldn't hold your breath for something like that being added here.
