an pop-up box that says "You have been given rep!" like the popup box that tells you when you have a PM, only it doesn't need the option to have you look at your rep screen, just like an 'OK' button or smt.

also, have all the reps automaticly signed (if you think somebody should be -repped, you might as well believe what you say and put your name down)

This has been brought up before, and I think most forum-goers didn't like the idea. I know I don't, personally.

...No...the message for giving -rep is the same for +rep and it makes no sense

No societies will crumble if it isn't fixed, and it doesn't affect me that much because I've only ever given one -rep, but it would be a nice touch that assumedly wouldn't take much effort.
