Compy crashed - HD died. Now my sound aint working!

Updated SB Live drivers... updated mobo and my windows as well.

Its not the speakers or the headphones.

No, my sound isnt muted. So what gives?

SB live 24 bit, its been fine for me forever.

It was working last week, but after my HD died it wasnt. Thank you for your GLORIOUS INPUT though.

Make sure everything basic is taken care of.. they are plugged into the right slot, the card is seated.. the sound is turned up (check in multi places that its not muted or turned down).

uninstall and reinstall the drivers again.

If all that doesnt work then your sound card MAY be fried...

Probably some Windows toggle that's in the wrong place. Make sure in the sound options menu it's set to output off the card instead of any onboard tech you might have.

And make sure you're not on mute. :)

Your wave/directsound volume is all the way up too, not just the master? :o
