So my dad's agreed to buy me a tricked out remington m700p if I can find a good price on one, as long as I set him up with a nicely equipped ar15 and he doesn't have to do any of the work.
Here's the funny part. He was given a glock .40 compact as a gift by a local police officer. It's too small for him, so he wants to trade it in for a full size.....he comes in and says "Hey, I'm thinking of selling this one, and buying the full auto glock 18....what do you think?" I said "If you can find one, and are willing to pay, I think it's awesome". He says "What the fuck do I care how much it costs, I'll be the only lawyer in florida with a fully automatic pistol!"
So yeah, I sense fun times coming at my house in the future.

he's a personal injury lawyer, not a criminal lawyer.
One of our good friend's firms was shot up by a hostage taker a year or two ago. The guy came in, pulled a gun, shot someone, and was hunting for this one female attorney who was hiding under a desk. The two male attorney's there were talking him down, and they tried to make a grab for his weapon, and he killed one, then executed the other. I don't remember if he was killed by SWAT or killed himself.

An ambulance chaser with a glock 18? Sounds like the perfect background for a vigilante movie. Dispensing tort justice. :D

Just have him setup an 07 FFL and get his SOT then MAKE YOUR OWN. Alot cheaper in the long run and you can make what ever you want for the most part. We should have some backplates done soon come on out again and we can tear it up.

He wants to have me take care of everything for him. He's got the money to spare, but not the time, and he's not THAT into guns. Somehow I doubt he'll actually get the glock 18 when he realizes it's not in .40
Anyway, he wants you guys to build him an ar-15, I'm working with russell for the details.

Isn't it a felony to get an FFL for personal use or something?

If all you do is transfer guns to yourself....yes.
Being "actively in business" isn't that hard.

Lawyers tend to be a large part of the NFA scene.....not surprising, given a high level of disposable income and a tendency toward individual liberty.
Although he (allegedly) has never been offered any Title II items, my brother is always accepting firearms as payment for services rendered.....there are always rifles of various descriptions parked in his office corners.
