So I'm wondering if mods can see content that has been edited out of posts after the fact. Just made a deal recently for a rifle on another forum and I need to see a copy of the ad before it was edited.

Once a post is edited nobody can see what it used to be unless a copy is first made and put into another section.

The only thing that can be seen by mods/admins is soft deleted threads. An edit is sort of like a hard edit, once its done its done.

If it's something that was up for some length of time, you could try using www.archive.org to find a cached version of the link.
