So, if I'm not big on the whole bro out gaming session, are they worth picking up or does the whole "wow a remote" stuff get old quickly?

What the hell? You two fail. Send me your Wii so I can fucking play No More Heroes already.

Add me to the "don't play the wii" thing. It was really fun for awhile, but the novelty of it gets old. Imuch prefer my xbox / PS3.

Played it non-stop for a couple months...then it was gathering dust for a year. Think I gave it to someone to play at college. Not worth it; get another console, upgrade your PC, or get some hookers.

I play it every once in a while, but that has nothing to do with the console so much as the fact that I am a much more avid computer gamer than console gamer.
Virtual console kicks ass.

My wife and kids love the Wii but TBH I never touch consoles and haven't since I got my first PC. Not so much a PC snob thing but I'm so used to the keyboard/mouse that I find myself struggling against the controller and give up before I get the hang of it.

It can be really fun, but I don't actually own one. If you typically have people over your house to chill or whatnot, I would get it
