I should buy it... but if I did, it'd throw off my Fallout 3 marathon.

:( But I wanna play Fable 2 naaaaaaaaaow. :(

It's pretty fun. I figured out a way to make a ton of cash in the game. Fable 2 allows you to make income even when you're not playing. So I figured it uses the system clock, and it does! It compares it to the last save time and date. So what you do is get a lot of property to rent out, disconnect from live, save, change the date a year ahead, load game, and connect Live. Whenver you connect to Live it automatically syncs the date up, and prevents you from changing it. I can do this trick right now and earn 700k in one load.

Is it as meaningless as the first one?

It's actually supposed to be a hell of a lot better. Most reviews seem to say it accomplishes everything it (and Fable 1) were supposed to.

Or at least, a heck of a lot better. I've seen 9's from all my favourite sources so far.

Main story is really fucking short, by the way.

I like this review best.

Yes, the main story is short, but the journey is the fun part.

The story for most of Peter Molyneux' games aren't very dense, which is good because then I'm only half asleep when I finish.

I'm too busy being a friggin' property mogul to play the main story, lol. I bought pretty much the entire gypsy camp and now I'm addicted...I must own everything.

IMO it's far better than Oblivion at the whole "open-world RPG" thing.

The co-op mode sucks. The henchman can't really do anything but fight, so for all those stretches where you're running around in town the 2nd player pretty much has to follow you around doing nothing. I also couldn't figure out the point of sharing gold/exp when the henchman is completely unable to use either of them.

I pretty much bought everything EVER in that game. I'm now the Mayor, because I own Fairfax Castle.

Logic to that is if they're using an account of their own from Fable 2, they get the stuff earnt henchbutting for their own character, which they're technically playing in the coop.
