I guess that title officially belongs to EA now.

"Your forum account will be directly tied to your Master EA Account, so if we ban you on the forums, you would be banned from the game as well since the login process is the same. And you'd actually be banned from your other EA games as well since its all tied to your account. So if you have SPORE and Red Alert 3 and you get yourself banned on our forums or in-game, well, your SPORE account would be banned to. It's all one in the same, so I strongly recommend people play nice and act mature."

"All in all, we expect people to come on here and abide by our ToS. We hate banning people, it makes our lives a lot tougher, but its what we have to do.

Those banned will stay banned, but like most other internet services, its not that hard to create a new fake e-mail account. However, its a lot harder to get a new serial key =)"

The solution's simple; don't buy an EA computer game.

Or pirate one. Oh wait, same thing.

Why anyone would want to participate in any of EA's forums in the first place is beyond me, much less getting banned on them.

Because there are people who think EA actually cares about something other than their dollar.

EA are a bunch of fucking pricks, who hire even worse pricks. infact, it wouldnt surprise me if half the pricks they hire are prick-moderators from somewhere like militaryphotos.net or something.

fuck EA, and fuck anything related to EA. fucking fucks.

Fixed that for you ;)

Doesn't bother me.

Wow, stretching that EULA to newer and ever greater heights of ridiculousness, I see. I can see the benefit of reining in internet smacktards, but this seems like it's going to overreach and deprive people of legitimately-bought keys too.

This is why I'm not a member of their forums, those assholes don't get me like you fags do.

That being said, its a cunt move by EA.

This is an incorrect statement. The guy who said this didn't know what he was talking about.

Their PR machine has to be permanently set on "Backpedal" now.

I could have believed it was a mistake when the dude on the Spore forums said it, but twice is no coincidence. Mistake, my ass.

This is twice this month that EA reps have screwed up on the same thing.

The obvious implication is that there was a memo saying "Ban the games and forums together" and then when the backlash came, another memo said "No, don't ban the game with the forum" but not everyone got the new memo.
