On one hand, I've seen customer reviews saying it's tits.

On the other, it's for sale for less than $20, which usually means "PLEASE! PLEASE TAKE THIS ABOMINATION FROM OUR SHELVES!!"

So, opinions?

Its trap.
I made an incredibly broken over powered character without trying, and never died once the entire game. I didnt beat it, because when i was halfway through it I got bored, angry and killed everyone, in every town. Promptly uninstalled. AI was stupid, magic was overpowered, alchemy is REAL overpowered. I mean, I had 5000 hit points after playing for 3 hours. Game had promise, thats about it.

Okay. I thought as much, but wanted the opinion of the people here, just in case.

Think of it as Oblivion and Gothic 3's bastard child. The Epic edition fixed alot of the problems, and for twenty bucks it's okay. About the same as Oblivion in regards to level of role-playing quality (IE get quest, finish quest in this manner only), and combat is like Gothic's but not as slapdash in nature.

Granted, I only played a demo, but I came to this same conclusion.

Well, I'm hoping to get the Xmas money to get L4D, but wanted a few opinions on some cheaper stuff, if I don't. Thus, my asking about this.

Amazon has a LOT of deals right now on videogames.

A LOT.

Well, was sorta looking at stuff I could run down the street to gamestop and grab, ...or best buy, so I wouldn't have to pay shipping.

I will if the thing+shipping is cheaper. I got a game via amazon and payed nearly $30 for it with shipping... and saw it at my local gamestop a week later for $20. And you usually need to get $50 or more for free shipping, and if I had $50, I'd just go down to gamestop and get L4D, which I know they have...
