Bills signed TO today to a one year deal after he was cut from the cowboys.

Not a bad move for a franchise that needs playmakers on offense, but one has to wonder how long till he (TO) either cries or bitches out his coaches/quarterback in the media because he didn't get a multiple touchdown day.

Edwards is entering his 3rd year and hasn't played the full 32 games he could've in his career, so he's not exactly an elite QB.

I dunno about the move, but it's the AFC south, so when you're contending with the Pats and the Dolphins and the Jets (who were on the cusp of the playoffs) i don't blame them for looking for weapons.

It was a good move but it reeks of a team struggling to find an identity. A locker room of nice guys couldn't make it to the playoffs so they bring in TO. Personally I can't believe he signed so quick, especially for a non title contender. Sure the Bills could have a run next year but I just don't see TO putting them into contention and as many teams denied interest I'm sure he could've found a better landing spot that wasn't named Oakland.

Oh well. Let the grand experiment begin.

Edwards sorely needs weapons and they need to build at other positions through the draft, so I can understand and dig the move.

For a time, you could argue it was a pretty bad move. Then again I think the Patriots, Atlanta and Miami have shown us the last few years that having a team and not a team made up of individuals is the best way to win games.

Plus, Jackson is going to be a better receiver anyway.

I think it's a good move, for one reason - it's a one-year contract. Owens has a chance for redemption before going onto the market again. If he wants to make money - and I'm sure he does, it'll be his last chance for any large amount - he has to be well-behaved.

Owens was just too destructive to keep. No player, least of all a receiver, is bigger than the team.

Ehh.. He'll be a good one, undoubtedly, but Owens is a first-ballot Hall of Famer, he's second only to Rice in touchdowns and probably a few other statistics. I'll be ecstatic if Jackson has half the career that Owens has had.

Also regarding the Eagles, they signed Sean Jones to replace Brian Dawkins. He's talented and like a decade younger than Dawkins, so it's not a terrible move, but now the Eagles are going to start two strong safeties. Neither Jones nor Mikell is a pure SS, but still.. They're both best against the run, neither is particularly effective at deep Cover 1. Ostensibly that's what Quintin Demps will be used for, but he's young and unproven. It'll be interesting to see how they're used.

I meant better for the eagles, Owens has had an awesome career, but in Philly he wasn't as dominant as he was in other places.
