Mah PC and Eve

So I would like to get started a bit with Eve again, see if the latest update has eased the curve enough to hook me.

But I have a pretty old PC because I am cheap and decided a couple of years ago that an XBOX is more fun. So I have an Athlon X2 3800+ , 2GB of DDR400 and a Radeon 3450 . Will I be able to run it at a resolution like 1600*1200. I am not looking for full eye candy but it should look ok if possible.

I remeber that Eve wasn't the huge resource hog , but that was YEARS ago. How is now? What kind of hardware do you have?

I can run three windowed clients on maxed settings... but then again I have a Q9600, 8 gigs of ram, and a GTX280.

You wont be able to run the full premium client, I dont think that card supports SM3, its too old maybe. You can probably run the premium light models though.

I have the same system except I have a Nvidia 8800GTS. I reckon you'll be fine using low settings but a video card upgrade is probably worth doing.

I agree with FC, do a graphic card upgrade and ull be fine. Btw u only need support for shader model 2.0. You should be able to get a decent graphics card between $70 -$100

P.s- Sometimes I run eve on an old PC I have, which is similar to yours and has a Radeon X1600 pro 512mb graphic card......Its basically my media PC where i store all my music and movies.

I'm not in charge of recruiting (or much of anything anymore) but I will tell you that you probably won't be accepted into VHI until you've made it past your first month of playing, and damn sure not whilst still on a trial account. Nothing personal against you of course, it's just that statistics suggest you won't make it that far :p
