What the FUCK, Spider?
5 rounds?
Sure he won, sure he didn't get touched, sure Thales flopped to his back a lot to avoid getting hit... but he KNEW Thales had no business kick-boxing with him; but he never went for the knockout, and never went for his patented Thai Clinch + Knees to the Face technique.
First I thought he was just playing intelligently and trying not to put himself at risk... but it seems that if he was worried about being KOd by Thales, he wouldn't have been doing this:

So you can do trick-leg-kicks, but you're afraid to swing for a KO?
Was he trying to prove a point of some kind? Cuz I'm not sure... nothing proves a point like kneeing them in the fucking face.
Shogun looked good against Chuck; but it was clear as the fight went on that Shogun had Chuck completely figured out.
I think Anderson should fight at 205 again, this time against Shogun. He wont flop to his back like Thales every time he moves forward.
Summary:
Anderson Silva went from: http://i43.tinypic.com/s6rjuw.gif
To: http://i40.tinypic.com/sgu7pf.jpg

Yes u r right silva wasnt worried that Thales leites will KO him. Since the last 2-3 fights Silva has been tring to show that he is very "elusive", you should note his body and head movement. Also instead of staying inside the pocket and going for thai clinch (as a real muay thai fighter should) he is working more on showing his boxing skills.
Now there can be 2 reaons for it
1- Anderson silva knows that most of the challengers cant hold a candle to him and hes not really getting any kind of fight from them. Also if you notice his body language he is acting like he really doesnt care and is ok with fan's booing him and stuff. He almost left the ring without even giving an interview, thats says a lot.
2- Anderson Silva is also looking to finish his next 3 fights, get done with his UFC contract and then go and fight Roy Jones jr in a boxing match. IF you listen to silva's interview lately, Roy jones is all he talks about.
in conclusion, he looks like a severly bored individual, whos not really enjoying what hes doing cuz he wants to prove hes the best and that cant happen in UFC (right now)
Although UFC did recently sign Sexyyama and if (a big if) Bisping beats Hendo, he might be a good fight for silva too.

iam sorry to say but everyone has chuck figured out. Chuck never moves lateral and leaves himself very open. If you check the last 2-3 KO/tko he suffered youll see what iam talking bout.
Talent in MMA is greatly increasing and you cant make mistakes like throwing a punch keeping your shoulders and hands low, while keeping your head high. Head neeeds to be tucked in.
Also whatch his old fight and you'll see he hardly ever fought a renowned striker(rampage and overeem are the only 2 good strikers he fought), Although i Lub chuck but he did beat mostly wrestlers because of his awesome takedown defence.

I didn't say Shogun was the only person who figured out Chuck.
Chuck and Cro Cop are both done because everyone knows exactly what to expect from them.
I understand Silva being bored with Thales, but usually when one fighter feels they can out-class their opponent, they finish them.
The Middleweight division has plenty of contenders now
Maia
Okami
Marquardt
Sexyama
The winner of Hendo/Bisping
I still think his next fight will probably be in the 205 division.

I wasnt saying that you said that only shogun has figured out chuck, what i meant was that i feel sorry that everyone has figured chuck out.
Also personally ithink, Anderson wasnt bored with leites per se, but with the whole situation.
Maia
Okami
Marquardt
Sexyama
The winner of Hendo/Bisping
I still think his next fight will probably be in the 205 division.
Yes, these guys are there but either they havent faught 'A' level competition or anderson has already beaten them.
i dont think okami is ever gonna get to fight silva(in UFC), the only time he did get a chance he got injured. Although I like okami, hes too boring for casual fans and its the casual fans who bring the dough.
205 is too stacked, anderson fighting in it is really not gonna do anything for the division. infact itll make the whole thing more muddled.
