Less than a week till the draft, so I figured why the hell not

I'd like to see the Vikings pick a corner or safety in the first, preferably a guy that can actually make tackles instead of getting trampled over. If not, then try to get a Center or Guard. Maurkice Pouncey if he drops.

In the second, either Tebow or trade up for McCluster. Harvin was such a great dual threat player, that I'd like us to try and pursue another one. BPA is fine here though, as honestly I think we could trade up in the 3rd to get Tebow if we really wanted. Assuming Jacksonville doesn't trade up to get him as everyone believes they will. Center/Guard would be great here as well, as Sullivan and Herrera are less than adequate currently. (wouldn't have this problem if the fuckers didn't let Birk go)

In the 3rd, it'd be nice to get an offensive lineman or BPA if we already took the O-line guy in the 2nd. RB here wouldn't be bad either, such as Gerhart if he falls, or McKnight if he is still around. In fact, we could probably just wait for a RB anyway, seeing as how Reynaud has converted to RB now. (that'd be AP, Reynaud, and Young as our RBs)

The 4th and on should be BPA. Some say we ought to take a linebacker, but I think Leber will stick around after 2010.

oh, and I do believe Favre will come back, before anyone asks, haha.

the rams should just shoot the entire team outside of steven jackson and start over, because it's not like him and 52 random college kids could do any worse

Bradford looks like the lock for #1 overall... the Rams need all the help they can get

it honestly doesn't matter who the rams draft because they would be an upgrade anywhere

this is a team that went out and deliberately signed aj feeley for shit's sake

it's funny because it's true

The Stillers need to get an O-linemen or a high quality corner if available. Hopefully someone who won't allegedly rape or smoke his life away.

the general consensus seems to be linebacker for Pittsburgh which is foolish

new corner and PR specialist in Kyle Wilson would be a great move for the Steelers

Whoa whoa I understand we need more linebackers but sure not at first pick is someone seriously saying that?

lol most of the mock drafts I have seen have Rolando McClain going to them

Not that he's a bad pick but a MLB in the first?

-e-

don't take it to heart too much though, at #18 they have a shitload of options

some mock drafts I follow

the first link is the draft consensus. (which has changed to now Iupati being the favorite for Pittsburgh, which would actually make sense)

Walter's are pretty good. He puts a good bit of time into them and they all have nice little breakdowns for the reader. Also, he is a Raiders fan and makes fun of Al Davis all the time, so that is also an upside.

woah woah woah

woah

AJ Feeley is not that bad...

...When you can lean on an effective running game and defense.

The Eagles went like 4-1 with Feeley as their starter. :lincoln:

Yea I was taken aback when you said people had been projecting linebackers, everyone has said Iupati or Pouncey in the ones I've read. And even though it won't happen if Haden fell to them well...I'd be alright with that.

could get Kyle Wilson too. he's pretty damn good; Haden will probably go before 18 but Wilson definitely won't

I facepalmed so hard when Minnesota passed on Clausen at 30.

Fucking idiots.

Although the Rams could certainly pick him up if the Vikings can get him with the 2nd pick in the second round its hardly a facepalm moment. Although if I were him I'd be a bit upset they took that gamble.

In other news Odrick maybe should have gone sooner but at least I don't despise the Dolphins so hopefully he does well. Yet another Penn Stater lands in the AFC. Good luck pal.

Rather surprised Tebow went 1st round. And I don't even follow college football

Yeah Tebow was the surprise pick by the Broncos of all teams

I am just pissed because this follows the long line of traditional "Viking bonehead moves" that well... the Vikings typically make. Lately, our drafting has been great. But the Rams are desperate. They may take any offers for more later picks they can get than just stay at 1 second rounder. The Browns AND Chiefs have LOTS of 4th and 5th round picks. Like... 6 combined between them, IIRC. and both of those teams need franchise QBs.

They should have taken the sure thing and just drafted Clausen, not to mention they gave up the 30th to the LIONS FOR BEST. Now the Lions have ANOTHER playmaker on their offense.

a quarterback with one shoulder is the perfect thing to play behind an offensive line that has not yet been scientifically proven to exist

thank god i'm not actually a rams fan

overlord_steveO
April 23rd, 2010, 05:17 PM
there are so many idiot Vikings fans that want Taylor Mays it is sickening

Give me Clausen. Seriously, this should be a no-brainer. Best player available, fills a need, played in pro-style offense, coached by Charlie Weis... did well without a good O line or running game at Notre Dame...

the list goes on and fucking on

overlord_steveO

Picked Cook at 34 then watched Clausen go to the Panthers

I don't think I could have seen much more stupidity from the Vikings but they always prove me wrong. Every single fucking year.

God dammit I hate it when this shit happens.

The Minnesota Vikings and their strong history of ineptitude (I have no idea what went wrong this time, I didn't follow the draft) are why I refuse to pay attention to, and generally have spite for, the NFL.
