Graphic stutter

I've recently run into a problem with the graphics giving a stutter, or quick pause at regular intervals while ingame/in screensaver. I updated my video drivers, and thought that had cleared things up. Unfortunately, they are back.

Is this a driver issue?
Card issue?
Heat issue?

Any ideas?

Software issue though what exactly I can't say. Have you tried closing all unnecessary processes and then trying it out? Cause it sound like you have something that hogs up the CPU every x seconds.

yep, that's what I think as well. Maybe a goold ol' spyware check could help, and you might want to try HijackThis.

it seems clean. no more running processes than when i did my last hijackthis scan... it hasn't been quite right since that firefox 1.5 install. i'd give someone else's left nut for 1.0.7 right now.

hmmm I am actually getting some "pauses" in NFS:MW also. Very very short almost not noticable but they are there.

And I have almost exactly the same system with you. Shitcock.
